This Privacy Policy describes how SalzVenture Technologies LLC ("SalzVenture," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit salzventure.com or contact us. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide: When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content.

Information collected automatically: Our web server (Apache/Express on AWS Lightsail) automatically records standard server logs, including your IP address, browser User-Agent, referring URL, pages requested, and timestamps. These logs are used to maintain security and diagnose technical issues. We do not use analytics software or tracking pixels.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To respond to your inquiry via email
• To maintain and secure the website
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not add you to any mailing list. We do not engage in behavioral advertising or sell your data to data brokers.

3. Service Providers (Sub-processors)

We use the following third parties to operate our service. Each acts as a data processor on our behalf:

• Resend (privacy policy) — our transactional email provider. When you submit the contact form, your name, email, and message are transmitted through Resend's infrastructure and delivered to our inbox. Resend also processes inbound emails sent to our @salzventure.com addresses via a webhook.
• Google LLC / Gmail (privacy policy) — contact form submissions and inbound emails are delivered to and stored in a Gmail inbox. Google processes this data subject to their terms.
• Amazon Web Services (privacy policy) — our website is hosted on AWS Lightsail. Server log data (IP addresses, request metadata) is stored on this infrastructure.

All fonts used on this site are self-hosted. No data is sent to font CDNs or other third-party services when you load our pages.

4. Data Retention

• Contact form submissions — retained as email in our Gmail inbox until manually deleted. We do not maintain a separate database of submissions.
• Resend logs — retained per Resend's data retention policy (see their documentation).
• Server logs — retained for up to 30 days for security purposes, then deleted.

5. Cookies

This website does not use cookies, local storage, or any persistent client-side tracking mechanism.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party except the sub-processors named in Section 3, or when required by law (e.g., a valid legal process or government request).

7. Security

Data in transit is protected by TLS (HTTPS). We apply server-side security headers and restrict access to our infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us at support@salzventure.com and we will delete it.

9. EEA, UK, and International Visitors (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, the following applies:

Data controller: SalzVenture Technologies LLC, Denver, CO, support@salzventure.com.

Lawful basis: We process contact form data on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — specifically, responding to your inquiry. Server log data is processed on the same basis for security purposes.

International transfers: Your data is processed in the United States. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or our processors' participation in approved transfer mechanisms where required.

Your rights: You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any right, contact support@salzventure.com. We will respond within 30 days.

10. California Residents (CPRA / CCPA)

Categories of personal information collected: Identifiers (name, email, IP address); internet or network activity (server logs, browser User-Agent); inferences from the above are not made.

Sources: Directly from you (contact form) and automatically (server logs).

Business purposes: Responding to inquiries; maintaining and securing the website.

Third parties disclosed to: Resend, Google LLC, Amazon Web Services (as described in Section 3).

Sale or sharing: We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Sensitive personal information: We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA.

Your rights: You have the right to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of sale/sharing of your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To submit a request, email support@salzventure.com. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. Because we do not sell or share personal information, a GPC signal has no additional effect on our processing.

11. Colorado Residents (CPA)

SalzVenture Technologies LLC is headquartered in Colorado. Based on our current data processing volume, we do not meet the thresholds that trigger CPA obligations. However, we provide the same privacy rights described in Section 10 to all Colorado residents on a voluntary basis. Contact support@salzventure.com to exercise any right.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision. For material changes, we will update the effective date and, where feasible, provide notice on this page. Continued use of the site following a policy update constitutes acknowledgment of the change.
